I found a pendant that I love. Can I have it in a different colour?
Yes! If you have found a design you love but you prefer blue to red, just request a commission of the same design and Cate will be in touch to discuss the colours available to you.
Do I have to buy a chain?
Not at all! We know that many people already own several chains or ribbons in the style and length that they prefer. If you wish to buy a pendant without a chain, simply select "none" from the chain options when making your purchase. If you do wish to buy a chain, a small extra cost will be added and you will be able to select from a 16 inch or 18 inch sterling silver snake chain.
What is silver clay?
Silver clay is made from fine silver particles recycled from use in x-rays and photography. It is added to a plant-based binder and water to make a soft, malleable clay. When fired, the binder burns away leaving behind a silver purer than sterling. It's alchemy!
What is dichroic glass?
Dichroic glass is glass that has been treated with metal oxides to make it display bright, shining colours that shift and change with lighting conditions. As a result, a piece of dichroic glass that appears blue in a dim room might be green or purple in direct sunlight. Glass can be made in one solid colour or manipulated to show a rainbow of patterns.
How do I take care of my jewellery?
Silver jewellery will tarnish over time. To keep it in the best condition, store it in a jewellery box or sealed bag rather than out in the open air. If it starts to become dull, a quick polish should bring it back to full shine.
Some of the purely glass pendants use silver-plated bails. Silver plate can react with the chemicals in some skin products, including sun cream, moisturiser, and perfumes. To ensure that it stays undamaged, either allow the product to fully absorb before wearing the pendant or pat the area where it will rest clean before putting it on.
